About Me and My Book:
Gloria Jean Richmond, the author of "Leaving Lambert" (a painful journey to joy in God from a small Mississippi town) is a Motivational Speaker, Community Volunteer, Sunday School Teacher and Founder of the C.I.R.C.L.E. of Hope Ministries. She is working closely with her community to build a much-needed new youth center, and to fulfill her vision to build "The C. I. R. C. L. E. of Hope Life Center and Family Campground" in one of the rural areas of Quitman County, Mississippi. The C. I. R. C. L. E. will be designed to Cultivate Imagination, Resources, Creativity, Leadership & Excellence to minister to underprivileged children and their families. Proceeds from “Leaving Lambert” will go towards the building of these projects. Gloria Jean is currently writing her second book and a stage play. Your support and prayers are greatly appreciated.

The Book:“Leaving Lambert” is the first of two books that portrays a true testament of God’s ability to transform her life. It’s a candid look into her early years growing up in the Northern Mississippi Delta in the late 1960’s. It offers an intimate look into the first fifteen years of her life that were so greatly tormented by a secret world that she was forced to flee her own existence. She lived silently in exile while ‘the people of her mind’ wreaked havoc on her life. The only hope of survival was to wage war against the invisible forces that be and to leave Lambert at all costs.

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
