In The Summoner, ghosts meddle in the affairs of the living. Since the last Summoner died, there is no one to reconcile the dead, the living and the undead. Tris Drayke, the new Summoner, may die before he can come into his full power. Fleeing for his life, Tris’ greatest danger is his own untrained magic, which he must tame to avenge his family and defeat the reborn Obsidian King. Book Two in the Chronicles of the Necromancer, The Blood King, completes the saga that begins in The Summoner, while Book Three, Dark Haven, begins a new chapter in the world of the Winter Kingdoms that continues into Dark Lady's Chosen (2010). And after that, there's more to come!
