- I have been writing since I was 15. I enjoy writing poetry, short stories and much more.
I believe that inspiration and dedication are the two keys to any good writer.
I feel my writing comes from God, who gave me my talent.
I am in the process of working on several new projects. Look for them soon.
I currently live in Alabama with my husband David, my oldest daughter April and my grandson Nicholas.
Born in 1960 to an unwed mother, Debra Ann Elliott was adopted when she was four months old by family members. She grew up with the sense of not belonging. That is what led her to express herself in written words. She is happily married with four grown children and one grandson and currently resides in Birmingham, AL.
We all go through life looking through the rearview mirror at our past and the wrong turn's that have been made.
Life Through the Rearview Mirror is a reflection of her life. This book is about the pain, the joy that we all go through in life and how we all tend to look back at what if's.
This book is dedicated to my family, with whom I could not have written my first collection of poetry. Also, I want to thank my online group friends for their support.

By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
