I have been in the process of writing a medievil type epic fantasy trilogy, Kingdom Of Meere. I have also published several law enforcement related training articles, and a guide on freeze branding horses. My author heroes are George RR Martin, Bernard Cornwell, Robin Hobbs, and Kate Elliott. It is tough trying to write and have a day job!

David, you're horse is beautiful. Tell me about him. Don't give up on being an after-hours author. You bit off a big project with a trilogy. But as Ann LaMont said, you do your writing Bird by Bird. I'm retired, so it's easier for me now. I grew up in the inner city, saved all my nickels to buy a horse, and finally bought one, sight unseen, from an ad in the paper, with my first paycheck. Tell me about that lovely horse with you in your picture.
