- About Me and My Book:
- I am a poet, novelist, editor, critic, and lover of words. Working currently as editor for a museum in the Midwest, I also volunteer as a Board Member of the local writer's organization, PWLF. I hold both BA and MA degrees from the University of Illinois at Springfield. My lovely wife Siobhan is a wonderful, natural poet. I'm a bit schooled in poetry to call myself a natural poet anymore, but I do boast a bit of talent and skill in poetry and poetics. My current major project is the revision of my trilogy, Kumari Vale, which is an Epic Fantasy trilogy centered around a cadre of heroes transplanted via sorcery from here to a magical land called Kumari Vale.
Siobhan and I have just had our first collection of poems published. Diminuendo Press is currently staging the release of After the Vows: Poems Between Lovers. It is a collaborative effort in which Sio and I write sonnets to each other on a broad range of subjects, from the sublime to the banal.

Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.
