About Me and My Book:
In order for the story to come across the way the author wanted it to, he had to tell it just as it happened, word for word, incident by incident. This is, without a doubt, the most intimate story I have ever read, told from the heart of a child. One that will tug at the heart strings of the reader. The story about a child abused and abandoned by most. Befriended by a few and finding little salvation even from God. “The Razor and the Mirror” will haunt you for the remainder of your life. The reader will never again look at a child and assume that all is well in that child’s life. If the fact that this is a true story isn’t compelling enough, then dwell on, if only for a moment, what you have read and try to convince yourself that horrors such as those written about in this book no longer occur in today’s society. The language is at times jolting, the message however is abundantly clear. Never, never again should anyone be able to violate the innocence of children. Once read, those who will read “The Razor and the Mirror,” will never again be able to see a brutalized child and not act, nor will they be able to hear the cries of a little one and remain silent. "Moving, revealing and powerful! Christian-Michelle is on a mission from God to eradicate the pain and suffering of abuse victims. Bobby's story, “The Razor and the Mirror,” needs to be heard in every corner of the earth. His story is a rich and complex story that leaves the reader saddened but also hopeful. It is highly recommended to those that are empowered to become effective advocates for the sufferer."

Christian-Michelle Dickerson is a wordsmith of tremendous talent. This book will make all the critics search for new superlatives. It is the poetry of his controlled prose, the trueness and richness of his characterizations that wrap you in the mighty captivating story of "Bobby".
Karen Carter, Ph.D.

I was driven to tears and felt an anger that I have never felt before. The word enters your very soul and awakens the very fiber of your being.
Dr. Denise Welding

The content of Razor and the Mirror is truly a compelling story that takes you through every human emotion possible. It is the epiphany of true compassion and sensitivity for life that I was reminded to give, and for that, I will never forget the words laden between those pages.
Denise Weber, MS

Child abuse. It's that dirty little family secret. Too often the unspeakable dies and is buried along with its abuser. Sometimes it only comes to light after an innocent soul is lost to the brutality. Victims rarely confront their abusers and abusers rarely ask for forgiveness.
As a former television news producer and Emmy Award winner, I know the sad truth is the public is more incensed by animal cruelty than child abuse. The harm done to children often only gets the thrust into the spotlight when one is killed. The public acknowledges but often does not discuss it.
But there are those kids who survive the horrors of a stolen childhood and struggle with life as an adult. I recently read the autobiography of Christian-Michelle Dickerson. He takes you through his bitter and brutal existence and introduces you to those few who tried to rescue him. Dickerson writes from the heart with emotions that will leave you anxious, crying and at times, screaming at the pages for Bobby to get out. By no means is this book an easy read. It leaves you emotionally wrought and there is no happy ending. For a child like Bobby, physically abused by his father and emotionally tormented by most other members of his family, the only escape is "The Razor and the Mirror."
Once a successful businessman, Christian-Michelle Dickerson is now himself homeless. His journey from corporate America to America's cold streets gives him an insight into Bobby's plight that never registers on the radar of many of our hearts or minds. Once you read “The Razor and the Mirror,” you will never again be able to see a brutalized child and not act, nor will you be able to hear the cries of a little one and remain silent.
Dickerson is presently working on the second installment of “The Razor and the Mirror.” The proceeds from both books will be used to establish, construct and staff a safe house for abused women and children. He has chosen to name it “Bobby’s House” after the main character in the book.

Ms. Winfrey, I have just one simple request. I ask that you or a member of your staff take the time to read “The Razor and The Mirror.” It is available online at www.lulu.com. I think you will agree, this is one of the most honest and heart wrenching stories of child abuse. It’s also a story that needs to be told and it will hopefully help another child from suffering the same fate.

Sincerely,

Sundrae Miller

Wondering Where I Have Been?

Hello everyone;
If you have been wondering where I have been, please let me bring you up to date. I have been living beside the Cape Fear River. It is a dark motionless wet and deep place. I at times am lost therein wanting to find a more gentle place to be. I sought to do what I thought was right and honorable and found myself blamed for lie's I did not tell and names I have not used. I find myself hungering for the human side of mankind and have been filled with naught but comtempt for w

To My Friends?

Maybe I shouldn’t share this with any of you, but I have grown so very tired of crying in the dark. All of my pains and sorrows have been poured out there in that cold and complete darkness. I covered my windows and covered my head with blankets. I only emerge from time to time to walk silently among you and your kind, pretending as you do that all is well and that there is nothing wrong. Pretending as one might to be strong and fearless, competitive and confident. You have destroyed me and now… Continue

The Band Wagon of Dead Abused Children!

Once again the public is rallying for what I call a false noble cause. And once again the public was prompted to do so because of the sweet pungent sickening smell of death. How noble and honorable and concerned you all are once the band wagon starts to roll. How conveniently blind you are when you see abuse and not report it such as the case of this dear child Shaniya Davis, and how deaf you all have been to the cries that you choose not to hear.

One friend of the fathers stated that there wer… Continue
