Hello--I joined this group because I am e-pubbed and my first release is Nov. 21. I have a spiral notebook crammed with promo activities and appointments, and soon I'll be inundated with all this. Somehow, my dream of being published and then sitiing back didn't work out. The author must do a great deal, even though it's mostly on-line. I know I can't do everything, but I will work to promote myself. (I write Western Historical Romance for THE WILD ROSE PRESS.) I'm looking forward to reading everyone's posts. Scribblers’ Retreat is a non-profit organization established with the goal of reaching writers of all ages; to inspire and promote their hidden gifts and talents.
By involving the local community, authors, publishers, editors, journalists and all forms of the literary world, we are opening their minds and bringing hope where there was doubt.
Scribblers’ Retreat is not the typical classroom setting. It was designed to bring world-class authors, literature professors, editors, journalists, illustrators, photo journalists, proofreaders, publishers, publicists, screenplay writers, and website/graphic designers, etc. one-on-one with young and old alike. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who has had a manuscript in a desk drawer for 40 years or who has an outstanding poem that simply must be read.

I want to show off my latest cover design for one of the books I am illustrating and invite you to comment on my latest blog post introducing Puff Bear Goes to the Hospital and it's author.
Hi Celia
Welcome to the group. I have not been active yet as I am trying to get a book completed - jacket and all, by the end of next week.
I have an E-book with Stonehedge Publishing. Awakening Love - post second world war Romance. (124,000 words) hey will be doing the follow on - that is 144,000 words. The last of that series is long too, but my other two novels (Blazing Embers and When Angels Lie) are much shorter. I share a book of short stories (Northern Lights) and the one almost ready for publishing is a book of short stories Beware Pedestrians. I also have an illustrated book of childhood memories When Phones Were Immobile and Lived in Red Boxes. I look forward to getting in touch with folk in a week or two's time.
