Calandra Wise is currently a teacher’s aide working
with children in a VPK program. The author is a mother of two children Cleopatra and David. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1970 and grew up in Lake City, Florida where she earned her education.
She continued her education at Lake City Community
College, Jones College of Jacksonville and Florida
Metropolitan University in Tampa. In 2002-2004
the author received two Recognitions of Outstanding
Merit and Accomplishments for Who’s Who Among
Students In American Universities and Colleges.
The author has been an advocate fighting against HIV and AIDS among men, women and children within the state of Florida, where in the past she served as an AT—Large Seat for the Florida HIV/AIDS Planning Group.
The author’s inspirational poetry and children stories include: Light, Spirit and Truth copyright within the Library of Congress, Momma’s Day Care, Imagine Africa, and Fight to Finish.
She is currently working on a Christian centered book that will open the hearts of those that is seeking Christ and a deeper relationship with Him.
Momma’s Daycare is a heart warming story that brings family involvement in daycare and makes children feel a since of pride that they are a home away from home as there parents go off to work.
This wonderful book is a good tool for teachers to read to help new students in there class feel that the preschool environment is a safe place to learn.
