Hi all I am a newly published author and the marketing/promotional side seems to have dried up. So far I do not have an agent! I'm looking for any advice or tips that you lovely people could offer. May I thank you in advance.

Thankd Marilyn. Edinburgh Festival signing? Nice thought.
But, although we get a lot of birds and occasionally aircraft flying over, I haven't noticed any PIGS. But in this hot weather, who knows what odd things can happen! Maybe I can get my son to take a piglet, with wings strapped on its back, up in a glider to release it over the local fields. Better not give it anything to eat first!
I can see the headlines
PIG FLIES OVER ULVERSTON Advertising Local Authors Latest Book
THE PIG WHO DARED and other stories.

Thanks Gladys. I will check that email account and will get back to you. It's terrific about thelocal OXFAM BOOKFEST. Maybe it will lead to the Edinburgh Festival ...

Hi Marilyn
Too hot for me but getting on. Lovely surprise yesterday - I was offered a book signing with full support - posters, press etc at our local OXFAM BOOKFEST. And our local bookshop wanted a few more of my latest anthology. Uplifting after recent struggles. I have sent you an email with some ideas for your book.

Jane and Gladys;

Nice to be here.
I do hope it's not too hot in Surrey and Cumbria. It's dreadfully hot here in Paris. It 's exhausting. I'm trying to write but it's just not possible.

SORRY! I will be putting Ernie's interview on Wrinkly Writers next week. It is presently on my blogspot site http://writingforjoy.blogspot.com
I really admire those authors who do so much for other writers.

I expect everyone has heard of Ernie Johnson and his Bookhouse project. If not maybe you should get to know him as he is showcasing authors and their books. I have done an interview with him on my Wrinkly Writers web site: http://gladyshobson.wordpress.com with links to his sites to find out more. I am very pleased the way I and four of my books are being showcased.
