I grew up in Columbus, Ohio. I wrote much about the Short North, the neighborhood I grew up in in my memoir Musical Chairs. I look forward to discussing the business with you all.
(I remember the Thurber House being an excellent resource in Columbus)

How great - A group dedicated to promoting and writing about Ohio. I'm up in Lake Erie, on Kelleys Island, a little removed from the rest of you, but active just the same. If you are in the Cleveland or Toledo area, there are a couple of author groups you might be interested in.

I just started the Historical Fiction Group on this site. If you or anyone you know would be interested, I'd appreciate a "heads-up". Glad to see so many authors from Ohio.

I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. Currently I live in Savannah, GA, but my roots are Ohio and Kentucky. Looking to meet other people on this site. Thanks.

Where have you all found in Ohio that've proved useful in promoting your work?

I'm an Ohio author and publisher. Does anyone know an avenue to promote books in Ohio or have any ideas?

Susan, where's the best place to begin to look for an agent who fits an author's target audience? For instance, my target audiences are Christians and African-Americans. Thanks.
