Hello! I am a new here; new to the group, but not to writing as I am a reporter. Two years ago I could finally write 'The End' to a 130,000-word book about Dr. Marcel Petiot, the World War Two French serial killer. I thought that I would have a publisher within days; now, I am thinking of self-publication.

Hello everyone. I have finally taken that step. After years of "wanting to write" and a myriad of experiences I have been encouraged to share my knowledge.
Doesn't that sound awesome? Did it make you think WOW, she must have so much to share! Don't be fooled.
What that actually means is that I attempted something that failed. But in the failure, many lesson where learned.
Now I have been encouraged to take the experience, turn it around and make it a positive thing
So, now I am on the road to learning how to do that.
I'd sure love your support/advise/feedback. Maybe you can check out the progress I am making over at

Hello everyone,

I hope and pray that everyone is doing well and having the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful spring. I'm writing you as a group because I wanted to ask you, if you would please share my web site with others who may benefit from my past experiences. I have had multiple sclerosis (MS) for more than 29 years and I have written the book Life Interrupted, It's Not All About Me, which is my self-help memoir written for the sole purpose of helping others, their friends and family deal more positively with the stresses put on a relationship when life is interrupted by chronic illness or disability. If just one relationship is saved or benefited it will have been well worth my literally having made my life an open book. If you have the opportunity please visit my web site and/or share it with those who may benefit. Thank you all so very much.

My web site: www.Lifeinterrupted-nolonger.com

God bless,
Chris

Karen, it sounds like my childhood. I have written Miracles for the Asking and will be search for a publisher soon. If you are interested in reading the manuscript let me know. The introduction follows.

A girl grows up in rural Georgia– suffering under ignorant traditions, narrow-minded stigma and rigid religious doctrine – finds herself at age five, subjected to sexual molestation from a family member. Every day her only thoughts were to elude the tormenter with the valor of a determined child, in devising survival tactics. Tactics only she could control, by hiding and escaping within her mind. Surrounded with illiterate demeaning influences, fear was projected into her emotions, mind and spirit. This behavior created abnormal patterns within her reasoning capacities, resulting in a warped sense of self-esteem with an apathetic nature.
“Miracles for the Asking” represents lessons taught through events that occurred to my family and me, for I was that Georgia girl. Every chapter reveals the transformation from each obvious catastrophe to a celebrated conclusion, resulting in the healing between past and present. With God’s powerful love, the mental binding shroud, that controlled all previous decisions, was removed and life became more victorious as God revealed how to love oneself with a reason for existence.
“Miracles for the Asking” will be as inspiring to the reader, as it is true to the writer. The collection of stories is condensed and precise, so the miracles are seen for what they are – a Divine Revelation from God woven in normal everyday occurrences.
