I have just added two more videos to my promotional library which are revised editions of the originals. I felt I could do better at composing them, but these will have to do for now. The original purpose for making them is to free up my time for more writing. My SF/F books are a little unusual in that they could fit in any category easily, from general fiction to hard SF. Some of it is nonfiction wearing a fictional garment, so placing them may be difficult. This is why I prefer the SF category. As to promotion, I find this is the best way to get the word out at the moment. So far I have been able to draw hits on my site with them without spending more than the price of FTP space and a little elbow grease.

My next promotional outing will probably be in late September when I participate in the All Romance Ebooks program at the West Hollywood Book Fair.

I have been promoting my Christian books and publishing services through Ad Surf Daily as an marketing experiment for about a month now. It is an ad surfing co-op enterprise. I have generated 1200 visits to my sites and obtained one solid prospect contact (for publishing services). I started with a free membership which allows you to promote one web site for 10 days. I then bought $50 in ad packages, which qualifies you to promote 3 web sites (or one site three times as much). In one month's time I have received $15.61 cash back in rebates on that $50 ad purchase and will continue to receive rebates until I get 125% of my purchase price back (looks like that will take 3-4 months). By that time I will have generated 4-5 thousand hits to my sites and have my ad money back (plus 25%). I would be interested to know if anyone else is promoting books or publishing through ASD or any other such system. If you want to experiment with it, you can go to http://72.32.185.200:8080/?ref=17573.

If you're going to Balticon, ConCarolinas or DragonCon, please contact me and we can connect! I'm always happy to connect with readers and other writers.

Please check out my updated profile--I've added video plus my Ghost in the Machine podcast.

June 21 is the online sneak peek of book 3, Dark Haven. Seven SF/F sites will be participating in a global first look at the third book in the Chronicles Of The Necromancer series!

Please friend me! I'm here, on MySpace, Facebook and Squidoo!
