I have two Christian Inspirational books that I self-published through my own publishing company. I would like a listing of book expos and places I can go market my book if anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi, Friends,
As the founder of this group, I am embarassed to say I've not posted more. I've been swamped! I did make it to the International Christian Retail Show (ICRS/CBA) in July. I signed books at the CLASS booth (Beyond Casseroles: 505 Ways to Encourage a Chronically Ill Friend www.beyondcasseroles.com") I also attended the AWSA conference (a women's writer's group) and I had the awesome opportunity to be a mentor for CLASS (Christian Leaders Authors and Speakers). It was as the "marketing expert" for the book proposal Blitz workshop two afternoons.

I have to say that I really felt like I was able to make a difference in helping people find creative ways to market their books. I was given 2 book proposals to look over while the introductory speaker was talking, and come up with as much marketing information as I could for them. And I did it! The other times I walked around and talked with whoever needed help. One woman wanted marketing ideas for a CD that people would listen to while driving through the Smokey Mountains. We had a whole page of things for her to follow up on. Fortunately, I finished my first ebook, "50 Sales Tips so You Can Sell More Books" beforehand and I had these for sale on the back table.

I loved what I was doing and it was refreshing to be able to work with Christians too. Too often when I go to book marketing events, etc. I am sitting beside people writing books on "Sex Secrets" or "Gambling Tricks." What a nice change.

I'll soon be posting information about my ebook and I am also doing book marketing consulting by phone for an hourly rate just in case anyone is interested. I do ministry (www.restministries.org) as my "full time" work and have been using all my experiences in my ebooks, as well as taking my own advice and putting things to work for the ministry that I know I should have been doing before (like pursing some catalog sales for books, etc.)

Will anyone be going to Glorieta Christian Writers conference in Oct? I plan to be there, but am having hand surgery (rheumatoid arthritis...) in September, so praying it will all go smoothly.

I decided to self-publish my book titled God and Email through createspace.com. Apart from paying $35 for the copyright application, the entire process did not cost me anything. I even have started selling on amazon.com. And yes ... I know that marketing will be everything from this point.
