California mystery authors, got a cruise planned, 1 wk to the Mexican Riviera (Puerto Vallarta, Mazetlan, Cabo San Lucas), panels and speakers, no extra cost for the conference and cabins are cheap!
Details: Nov. 14-21, leaving from Los Angeles. Three days at sea for panels and such. Ports-of-call: Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. No extra charge for the conference, just pay for the cabin. Really encouraging fans, small presses and their authors to attend. I'm also trying to negotiate with the ship so we can sell our books.
 
Bev has wrangled 120 cabins. She'd like to see $100 deposit to hold a cabin as soon as possible, a second installment on the deposit of $150 by June 1, and the remainder by Aug. 25. Go to

Happy to announce that my last novel, A VOYAGE BEYOND REASON, has received a "Notable Award for Literary Fiction" in the 17th Annual Writer's Digest Self-Published Book Award competition.
Also, my third novel is due for release (Outskirts Press) in December. MEAD'S TREK has received good early reviews, including blurbs from Lis Wiehl, FOX NEWS, and Kris Franklin, internationally published mystery writer.

Ah, California! Though I moved back to Illinois seven years ago, I have never really stopped being a Californian in my heart, and today I am missing it so much. Right now, I am scheming to see if I can pull of a trip in January to attend a wedding. It could happen! California also contains a big percentage of OTP's authors...another reason to love it.
