Just joined and interested in further finding ways to aid book publicity.

One fun thing I've enjoyed using on my web pages (across-t-pond.com) is using "sitepal" for a fun page introduction, anybody else sued that?

Hello Fellow Authors,

I hope your Thanksgiving was enjoyable as mine. I know this economic situation has hit a lot of entrepreneurs in the pocket. I know, I have been a successful entrepreneur, author and marketing consultant for almost 40 years. Let me get to the point.

If anyone is interested in gaining massive media and internet exposure here is what I can do to help. You write a press release and I will distribute it through PRWEB's high end distribution package. This includes exposure (and links) to all the major news sites including Google News, Yahoo News, MSN News and all the other news sites. This will include hyper links and pictures in your releases, iFrame to your website, RSS and MUCH more.

PLUS I will pull a customized list (from a 500,000 database) of media contacts that focus on your industry or genre. This includes every MAJOR media out there from Oprah to Business Week. It includes reporters, syndicated columnists, bloggers, radio, TV, newspapers, and magazines. I will take your release and send it directly into their personal email box. These are all Opt-in, NO SPAM. PRWEB is the largest
press release distribution company on the internet.

This would normally cost you over $400 per release. As my way of supporting other authors in these times I will do this for only $99 per release. I have to limit this to 50 releases due to time constraints.

If you are interested or need more information feel free to call me at 619-977-5022 in San Diego. I know this will help some of you get the exposure you need at a price that nobody offers. Consider this my early holiday gift to you.

BTW I have been extremely successful in the PR arena with my author partner and all of my business ventures. I'll give you more info when we speak.

May all your successes bring you the happiness you seek.

Hi I just signed on.
I'm thinking about cloning myself to keep up with all this. What do you think?

Great comment Patricia. I am a big believer of obtaining a local grass roots following. It takes alot of elbow grease to get events going, but well worth it. I like your advice. Booksicals is planning an event a month or so after Too Many Visitors for One Little House, our first book is coming out in December at a local library. It will be our debut for the Booksicals brand of children's books. Will keep you posted on the outcome.

If you write articles on your area of expertise on internet sites like ezinearticles.com, you will receive more incoming traffic to your website. Sign up, follow their guidelines and submit a well-written, original article and fill it with the same keywords that you have on your site. As people read your articles they will end with your author resource box which you can put a link to your site. This increases your ranking with the search engines as well.

Also, start locally in your area and do events. I am doing an event this Sat. 11/8 at 11 AM for the local libraries in Torrance, CA based on my book, Easy Entertaining for Beginners. I am doing an "Easy Holiday Entertaining" event with food/recipes/tips. Libraries have budgets to pay you an honorarium as well.

I also appeared as a guest chef on a local cooking show which will be aired on a local cable channel and the host did ask me about my book and where it was available for sale. If you are overwhelmed and don't know where to start, I say start in your own city or town and work outward.
