How refreshing to find an honest author willing to state a truly horrible situation as regards book sales. I know some people find it helpful to belong to many blogs and enter as many open competitions as possible. Get you and your book known etc. sort of thing. Some do quite well (or so I understand) Personally, although I have sold a few books through internet contact, almost all of my book sales are through local small booksellers. I have my own publishing label (Magpies Nest Publishing) and get my books printed through a POD internet printing firm (batch buying - not like LULU). (The firm has a USA branch too.) This way I can give a 40% discount to retailers willing to stock my books.
Being on Amazon, among many thousands of titles, is not enough.

One of the only reasons I can think of is it has no promotion. No one knows it exists thus resulting in only one book sale since its October release. Does anyone here know of an affordable, reliable promotion service that might give my novella the much needed push it needs to start selling? When I say, affordable I mean in the $150-$200 range.
