Book widgets to market your work online

Hi everyone!

I'm reaching out from a young company called AdaptiveBlue - we make free book widgets that help authors and book groups promote their work across blogs, social networks and the greater web (Seth Godin, the NYT, St Martin's Press, and many other authors and book groups are already using our widgets).

You can find out more information about the widgets here: http://www.adaptiveblue.com/widgets_books.html

Being a small company we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service - I'd love to create a book widget for anyone in this community to help promote their efforts online. If you have any question please feel free to ask.

Thanks for the offer Fraser. The widgits look very nice, and usually what Seth does is good in terms of online marketing. I'll shoot you an email.

Cheers

Hi Peter, looking forward to hearing from you - my email is fraser[dot]kelton[at]gmail[dot]com.

Seth has been a terrific asset for us, he has a lot of respect in the book community marketing community.... he has a lot of respect in many areas!

Here's a short post he made about the benefit of our product: http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2007/05/embedded.html

Looking forward to supporting you all however I can!

Wow, that's great Fraser! I've been asking about how to do this and having no luck.

The idea is basically that the authors spread the widgets around and your company benefits from montetizing, is that correct?

Not a bad deal for writers, I think. Get a widget for free to promote the book. I'll be in touch.

That's partly right.

Anyone who puts the widget up on their page has the ability to claim affiliate IDs. If they do then they earn all money that is generated through that stream. If they don't enter their affiliate IDs then they default to ours. We've found that some people add them, others do not.

We also earn revenue by selling customized versions of the technology into bigger media companies and publishing houses.

I was just on the Book Bites for Kids podcast talking about how authors can use our widgets to promote their books online. If you want to listen to it click through to the Blog Talk Radio site.

Suzanne, the host, is an accomplished author and head of the National Writing for Childrens Center.

It was a really fun experience and helped us reach a number of authors.

If you want a free book widget to promote your work drop me a note, support@adaptiveblue.com

Fraser,

I would love to have my soon to be released book " Wait on the Lord, I say Wait " advertised through your widget program. How soon can I obtain your services?, how can I get started? My email address is aninspirationaltouch@yahoo.com or Sabriena_williams@yahoo.com.
I would love to have my book marketed to the right arena. It is great to have your online services for inspiring authors like myself.
