I am currently reading Brent Sampson's "Sell Your Book on Amazon" based on hearing about it on this network. I am learning a lot. And it made me wonder:
What 5 books would you recommend to someone who is writing and self-publishing a book?
David:
One that has not been mentioned is: Tested Advertising Methods by John Caples
Also Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
Thank you for your question.

As a real newbie in all of this process, I highly recommend 2 books that are threadbare and I could use new copies. *grin*
The Self Publishing Manual by Dan Poynter and 1001 Ways to Market Your Books by John Kremer. They helped me soooo much and gave me the courage to start my own publishing company and to be what I consider to be successful in what I have already done. I know I will be successful in the future as well because of the base these two books set for me.
Is anyone really selling tens of thousands of books a year or are we just buying and reading promotion books? I read some of these books and they go on and on about sending free comps to reviewers. Come on -- there has to be a better way.
